You probably remember my last blog post, Kelly’s beautiful maternity photos!
Today on the blog Kelly’s newest family member is on the blog, meet Stephen Jr.
Isn’t he perfect? Little Stephen looks just like big Stephen, check it out:
I wanted to share these session with you all so you could see the difference between a First 48 session and a newborn session.
First 48 sessions are quick half an hour or hour long sessions at the hospital (or the place of your birth) before the baby is 48 hours old. These sessions are what we call lifestyle shoots. Lifestyle shoots are basically photos that look exactly like real life. No fancy poses or props, just intimate photos of you and the newest member(s) of your family. These photos of Stephen, Jr were taken before he was 24 hours old.
Aren’t they precious?
And now for the newborns…
Newborn sessions are best for babies 10 days old or younger, though Stephen, Jr was 12 days old when we took these photos. Newborns can be taken at your home, or in my home studio. They can last anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours depending on the baby’s mood. These shoots are stylized. I have blankets and wraps available and can help you come up with some super cute and very personal ideas to make your newborn session one of a kind. Check out Stephen’s newborn session at my home studio below!
Again newborns are best done by 10 days old, so be sure to book your session, when your doctor gives you an estimated day or induction/c-section day to make sure I’m free!
Welcome to the world Stephen Jr!
